EMDR Intensives
-
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It's a well-established therapeutic approach designed to help individuals process traumatic experiences and distressing memories. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation, which can involve eye movements, taps, or sounds, to support your brain in reprocessing these memories and reducing their emotional impact.
-
EMDR Intensives are immersive therapy experiences that allow for deeper exploration and healing within a shorter time frame. Instead of spreading out sessions over several weeks, intensives offer a concentrated series of sessions in a more condensed period. This approach can be particularly beneficial for individuals who are seeking to make significant progress or address specific issues in a shorter time.
-
EMDR Intensives can be beneficial for individuals who are motivated and ready to engage deeply in the therapeutic process. They can be particularly effective for addressing specific issues like recent traumas or anxiety. In our initial consultation we will work together to determine if an Intensive is the best fit for your unique needs.
-
The healing process continues beyond the Intensive. I will work with you to create a plan for ongoing support, which may include regular therapy sessions with me, or another therapist, or other forms of self-care.
